A Message From The Principal


It is with great joy that I welcome you to Kermit McKenzie Jr. High, where we are happy to show our Bobcat Pride. We are dedicated in providing your child with the best education and school experiences. Here at McKenzie Jr. High, I believe in a vision of excellence where students are expected to try their best, demonstrate integrity, collaborate with peers, use critical thinking skills, know how to use various ways to communicate, be creative, and build positive character traits that will help them become successful in the 21st century.

The McKenzie staff strives to build personal responsibility, self-discipline, and goal setting. The staff is committed to student learning as well as providing experiences and opportunities that go beyond the classroom. Our teachers work before and after school providing students with additional services to support student learning. As you follow us on Facebook and visit us at our website, you will notice the various opportunities to participate in additional school activities such as sports, the after school program, MESA, ASB, AVID, and other school sponsored activities.

McKenzie Jr. High School is a wonderful place to learn, teach, and have fun. The support of our parents, school personnel, district administration, and school board, contribute to our school’s growing success. The collaborative effort brought forth between all the stakeholders has been essential for our continued growth.
